After a career spanning almost 23 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, Mike decided to follow his lifelong passion in photography and become a professional photographer. After the birth of his two children, that passion had grown and Mike decided to enroll in a professional photography school in Washington DC and after graduation he launched Mike Moberley Photography.

Mike is a location portrait/landscape photographer specializing in family, sports, high school senior and professional headshot photography. He is based out of Chesapeake, Va.. and serves the greater Chesapeake, Va. area. Mike's goal at Mike Moberley Photography is to capture portraits that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment for his clients.

Mike uses candid photography to capture people doing everyday things (playing, parenting, relaxing, laughing) in outdoor "studios". These shots are combined with images that are planned rather than posed to create a full session of modern portraiture. Life is recorded as it happens, capturing the mood, lighting, and contingencies of a moment.

Mike also has an interest in photographing beautiful natural landscapes, architecture and nature. He spends the winter months creating breathtaking metal photos and custom prints. Mike would like to be the photographer who captures those beautiful portraits, headshots and images you desire.
